The primary aim of our site is to make the original texts of
the four Veda Samhitas accessible to all persons having a PC
and to facilitate the dissemination of the multisided
knowledge, especially the spiritual and psychological
knowledge contained in the Veda Samhitas. Among the spiritual
savants of India, only Sri Aurobindo and Sri Kapali Sastry
wrote extensively in English on the spiritual and
psychological knowledge in the Veda Samhitas, especially the
Rig Veda Samhita. Hence their work gets a prominent mention in
this site. This site is addressed to several classes of
readers. First of all, it is addressed to the readers who may
not know Sanskrit but are interested in reading a translation
of the Rig Veda which brings out the spiritual and
psychological wisdom. The second class of readers consists of
those who know Sanskrit but not Devanagari script and want to
know the English translation behind every word which brings
out the spiritual meaning of the Veda as well as the meaning
relevant to physical nature. The third class of readers for
this book consists of those who know Sanskrit and Devanagari
and are already aware of some of the other summary
translations of the RV. The subsection 'details' after every
verse is addressed to these readers.
